Phase 2: University of Pittsburgh School/College Approval

Once the internal exploration and research process has concluded, the project administrator should begin meeting and discussing the partnership with key administrators to confirm secured faculty/interest and to request approval for contract submission to begin.

  • Reconnect and review research and information up to this point.
  • Determine PA’s key faculty contacts for this project (department chair, dean, etc.).
  • Establish outcomes for larger group meetings with school/college administrators.

Present partnership research and information to administrators to not only seek feedback and approval on the proposed partnership, but more importantly, to identify the mechanisms that must be developed for the partnership to succeed. The Director of Partnerships and the Project Administrator will meet together with:

  • Head of Academics
  • Head of Finance and Operations
  • Head of Research, if applicable
  • Relevant UCIS Center(s), if involved
  • Other stakeholders as recommended by the Director of Global Partnerships
  • Conduct any follow-up assessment that is missing/required based on feedback from school/college and relevant University departments.
  • Begin setting up and developing the mechanisms that were discussed at the meeting with the leading personnel in order to move the project forward.
